Alchemy was established to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns in private equity and distressed investing. This remains our focus.
Investing in private equity, distressed debt and equity, and special situations plays to Alchemy’s strengths and experience. Alchemy targets opportunities which arise from turbulent markets, structural change, unsustainable capital structures and management or cyclical underperformance.
The team employs a value investing approach based on fundamental proprietary research and comprehensive due diligence. A particular emphasis is placed on capital preservation and receiving an appropriate return for the risk taken. Post-investment monitoring drives the value generation process and we are actively engaged in managing our investments with an emphasis on operating improvements.
Alchemy invests in most business sectors although the team has built deep expertise in Financial Services and European Telecoms and Cable.
